Greg Chappell never bowled underarm, he just asked his brother to do it, the cheating cunt

The underarm was HIS fault as he ordered his brother

I think it was the Windies attack that had Boycott scuttling, I remember one series where Holding absolutely destroyed him

Re: 3rd Test - England v Pakistan - Edgbaston
Also worth remembering the progress made by teams around the world. Sri Lanka were a joke side 20 years ago.

Saw the other day that Jimmy has now taken 50 wickets against every Test playing nation except Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
No fluffing of his record. Unlike some.

Re: 3rd Test - England v Pakistan - Edgbaston
I would have given Warne 1,000 wickets with DRS

or a copy of the ACB' s list of "banned substances".He might have got another 50 - 100 wickets, but for his ban.

Sven - I take that back, forgot it wasn't him that actually bowled it, great sportsmanship all the same!

Re: 3rd Test - England v Pakistan - Edgbaston
Cook has had an unbelievable career for someone who hasn't got a cover drive.

You can't knock him, but I also can't help thinking that were he batting in a different era, he'd have had to deal with far better bowling testing him out outside off stump. The two stand out teams since he has been playing, South Africa he averages 35, Australia he averages 39, and that includes 2010 series out there when the Aussies were at their lowest. Walsh & Ambrose, McGrath & Warne, Donald & Pollock, Akram & Younis, formidable.

Root would adapt to any era, and will go on to be one of our best ever, however, with the bowling out there at the moment, he shouldn't end up averaging lower than 60.

Re: 3rd Test - England v Pakistan - Edgbaston
Not sure that's true Northern. 5 of the top 6 all time test wicket takers have played in the last 10 years.

Also, with the onus on attacking cricket, more and more batsmen have a weaker defensive technique, looking to score faster and off more balls, certainly brings the bowlers into the game more.

To say nothing of the endless video analysis of batsmen by opposition coaches and "plans" being set for every batsman, by every team.

Have only included players I have seen
Greg Chappell wouldn't be captaining just batting & hitting those cover drives
